RIALTO, Calif. — Two suspects have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from an Ulta Beauty store in San Bernardino County, with investigators tying them to additional retail thefts across Riverside County.
The suspects, Kailey Calderon, 26, and Michael Flood, 27, are accused of burglarizing an Ulta Beauty location in Rialto on May 14, according to the Rialto Police Department.
Authorities say the duo ransacked store shelves, filled bags with high-end beauty products, and fled the scene in a getaway vehicle. Security footage and investigative leads led police to identify Calderon and Flood as the suspects.
A search warrant executed at Calderon’s home uncovered over $12,000 in stolen makeup and skincare items, much of it stored in large tote bags, police said. Calderon was promptly arrested and charged with burglary, grand theft, and intent to sell stolen merchandise.
Days later, Flood was arrested by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and taken into custody on related charges.
Police believe Calderon and Flood are involved in similar thefts at Ulta Beauty stores throughout Riverside County.
“The Rialto Police Department has zero tolerance for thieves and remains committed to holding thieves accountable,” authorities said in a statement.
Officials credited interagency cooperation for the successful arrests and ongoing investigation.
