Flagstaff, Ariz. — On March 31, 2025, Dave Zorn, a long-time broadcaster with KAFF Radio, was arrested during a North Star Task Force operation aimed at cracking down on child sex trafficking and exploitation. Zorn, known for his roles as the station’s news and sports director, was arrested on suspicion of luring a minor for sexual exploitation. He was part of a sting operation that resulted in 28 arrests.

The North Star Task Force, a multi-agency initiative involving local, state, and federal agencies, conducted the operation over six months, which targeted child sex trafficking networks. Zorn was among nine individuals arrested on felony charges related to luring minors, child exploitation, and trafficking. Other individuals arrested included a former police officer, a convicted sex offender, and a pastor.

Upon his arrest, Zorn was immediately placed on administrative leave by KAFF Radio, and his access to station facilities and social media was disabled. The station expressed shock and disappointment over the arrest but affirmed their continued commitment to serving their community. Great Circle Media, KAFF’s parent company, issued a statement saying the situation was deeply painful for their team.

This operation, which was bolstered by support from nonprofits like FIAT and E3 Ranch Foundation, aims to curb the ongoing issue of child sex trafficking in the region. The Flagstaff Police Department has urged continued vigilance in the fight against these crimes, stating, “If you exploit children, we will find you.”

Though this arrest marks a significant victory, police maintain that the battle against trafficking remains ongoing. Zorn’s arrest is part of broader efforts by law enforcement to address these crimes in the community.
