KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two men have been charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property after police caught them with a motorcycle reported stolen along Deanery Road in Vineyard Town.

The suspects are 29-year-old Kafel McBean, a mechanic from Lineral Street, Rollington Town, and 21-year-old Davian Wilson, a labourer from Shooters Hill Road, Bull Bay.

According to reports, on Tuesday, June 3, a man parked his motorcycle outside a business establishment while conducting a transaction inside. Upon returning, he discovered the motorcycle was missing and immediately reported it to the police.

On Thursday, September 4, a police patrol observed Wilson driving a motorcycle without a registration plate. Upon questioning, Wilson claimed the motorcycle belonged to McBean.

Authorities then questioned McBean, who identified the motorcycle as his. However, further investigation confirmed the motorcycle had been reported stolen, police said.

Both McBean and Wilson were arrested and charged. Their court dates are currently being finalized.
