FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A Fayetteville man is facing serious charges after allegedly robbing the same convenience store twice in a single day.
Police arrested 20-year-old Kaden Courtney on May 2 in connection to two robberies at the EZ-Mart located at North Leverett Avenue and West Poplar Street. Authorities say Courtney lived within walking distance of the store and was identified through surveillance and clothing evidence found during a search of his home.
According to dispatch logs, the first robbery occurred around 4:09 a.m. on May 1. Only one employee was present at the time, and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. The store manager confirmed the theft but could not determine the exact total stolen.
Police linked Courtney to both incidents using clothing he wore during the robberies, which matched surveillance footage and was later recovered during the search.
Courtney has been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and is currently in custody.
