Justin Trompeter Arrested After 6-Month Manhunt for Domestic Violence, Robbery, and Child Neglect

Justin Ryan Trompeter, 24, was arrested on July 12 following a six-month-long manhunt. Trompeter faced charges including domestic violence, robbery, child neglect, and drug-related offenses. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office had been searching for him since February 7, when he allegedly fled a domestic violence scene with two children.

The pursuit ended in rural Grants Pass after Trompeter crashed his vehicle. He briefly engaged in a standoff before surrendering to police. Trompeter now faces 14 charges, including third-degree robbery, child neglect, reckless driving, and a parole violation. Police had previously found the two children abandoned in a car, along with fentanyl and meth.
