by Amelia Crawford

Justin Garzon, 36, of Cambridge, has been arrested and charged following a lengthy child exploitation investigation led by Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS).

The investigation began in 2022 and involved support from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Interpol, and Peel Regional Police. Authorities identified a series of offences involving youth victims, with evidence indicating that Garzon engaged in online communication with underage individuals over several years, while also accumulating and distributing illegal child sexual abuse material.

Garzon reportedly operated under multiple online aliases, including Justin Alexander Garzon, Ziggy, Xavier Kain, GatsbyASMR, GatsbyNSFW, and various usernames on TikTok, Kik, and Snapchat such as Egsneakyboi and AlexMrDaddy.

He faces multiple charges including five counts of luring a child, two counts of invitation to sexual touching, three counts of making child sexual abuse material, four counts of possession, two counts of distribution, and four counts of making explicit material available to a child.

Garzon was taken into custody and remains held pending a bail hearing. WRPS continue to investigate the case and believe there may be additional victims.
