Justin Dupras, 42, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was charged in federal court on January 10 with attempting to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute. The charges stem from his alleged involvement in mailing large quantities of cocaine from California to Massachusetts through the U.S. Postal Service.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, Dupras mailed approximately two kilograms of cocaine from a Los Angeles post office to Fall River on December 17, 2024. The charging documents allege that Dupras returned to Massachusetts and, on December 19, 2024, went to the Fall River Post Office, where another individual signed for the package and handed it to him.

The U.S. attorney’s office also claims that Dupras had engaged in similar actions on prior occasions. For instance, on September 17, 2024, Dupras allegedly mailed over two kilograms of cocaine from Chino Hills, California, to Fall River. A similar shipment was made on October 29, 2024, from Los Angeles, also containing approximately two kilograms of cocaine.

Flight records reportedly confirm that Dupras returned to Massachusetts on the same day he mailed these packages, adding to the evidence against him.

The charge of attempting to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute carries serious penalties, including a potential prison sentence of up to 20 years, a term of supervised release of up to life, and a fine of up to $1 million.

The details in the charging document are allegations, and Dupras is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
