BARNESVILLE, Minn. — A Barnesville man faces felony charges after authorities recovered over $65,000 worth of stolen items linked to a burglary in Otter Tail County.
On May 10, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a report that Puma brand knives were pawned by Justin Bremer. Court documents indicate these knives matched those stolen in a recent burglary, which also involved firearms, ammunition, Zuni Fetish Stones (stone sculptures), and other valuable items.
Video surveillance showed Bremer at the pawnshop with an ammo box containing several knives. The burglary victim identified the items from photos of the footage.
Following this, a search warrant was executed at Bremer’s property. Officers found two bags holding 147 Zuni Fetish Stones, a can of pennies, a wristwatch, and three trail cameras—all reported stolen. Bremer claimed he purchased the items but could not recall from whom.
The Zuni Fetish Stones were valued at approximately $200 each, trail cameras at around $300, and the coins contained roughly $1,000. Including firearms, the total value of the recovered stolen property was estimated at $65,000.
During the search, officers also found two containers of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, weighing about 0.05 grams and 0.62 grams respectively.
Bremer is charged with receiving stolen property and 5th-degree drug possession.
