BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. — Justin Antwan Berger, 36, was arrested on August 20, 2025, following a major narcotics investigation that resulted in the seizure of approximately $440,000 worth of drugs and multiple firearms, according to authorities.
The Virginia State Police James River Regional Drug Task Force began investigating methamphetamine and cocaine sales in Bedford County in November 2024. Berger was identified as the primary suspect and alleged main supplier in the ongoing probe.
On June 26, 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Berger’s residence on Byrnes Street in Goodview, Virginia. During the raid, officials confiscated a large quantity of drugs including:
Approximately 2,041 grams of suspected cocaine
1,000 grams of suspected heroin
1,000 grams of fentanyl
283 grams of suspected methamphetamine
56 grams of suspected crack cocaine
In addition to narcotics, authorities seized 10 handguns, three AR-15 rifles, and one shotgun from the property.
Berger was taken into custody by the United States Marshals Service and is currently being held at Blue Ridge Regional Jail. He faces multiple charges, including eluding police, distribution of Schedule I and II narcotics, and firearms offenses.
The investigation remains active as authorities continue to work on related cases.
