Jumaane Pugh Arrested in Major Fayetteville Drug Bust

66g Cocaine, Oxycodone & Cash Found in Traffic Stop

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A routine traffic stop turned into a major drug bust when Fayetteville police arrested 48-year-old Jumaane Pugh, uncovering large quantities of illegal substances and cash.

According to authorities, officers attempted to stop Pugh for a routine violation. A subsequent search of his vehicle led to the discovery of:

66 grams of cocaine

73 dosage units of Oxycodone Hydrochloride

5 grams of marijuana

An electronic scale

$695 in cash

As a result, Pugh now faces several charges, including:

Trafficking cocaine by possession

Trafficking cocaine by transport

Possession with intent to sell or deliver (PWISD) cocaine

Felony possession of cocaine

PWISD Schedule II controlled substance

Simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substance

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Speeding

Pugh was granted a $250,000 secured bond and has since been released. He is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Court on September 11 at 9 a.m.
