Police in Wilmington have arrested a woman in connection with a robbery reported Friday afternoon in the downtown area.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded at approximately 2:00 p.m. on March 6 to the intersection of 8th and Shipley Streets after receiving reports of a robbery.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located one of the suspects and took July Vriscoa, 32, into custody without incident.
Police also discovered that Vriscoa was wanted on an unrelated matter at the time of her arrest.
Authorities charged her with second-degree robbery. She was later arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $2,500 unsecured bail.
The investigation into the robbery remains ongoing.
