YUCAIPA, Calif. — Two men were arrested Feb. 4, 2026, after deputies recovered stolen packages during a traffic stop in a Yucaipa neighborhood, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies assigned to the Yucaipa Station Traffic Division were conducting enforcement near Oak Glen Road and Chapman Heights Road when a good Samaritan reported seeing individuals stealing packages from a nearby home’s front porch.
Deputies conducted an area check and spotted a silver Toyota RAV4 driving slowly through the neighborhood. A traffic stop was initiated, and deputies contacted the driver, Julian Quintana-Acosta, and the front-seat passenger, Jesus Figueroa. Several packages were observed in the back seat of the vehicle.
Investigators determined Quintana-Acosta was driving without a valid license and detained him without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple packages recently delivered to nearby residences, along with drug paraphernalia.
Deputies later located the victims and returned the stolen packages to their owners. Quintana-Acosta and Figueroa were arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center on multiple theft- and narcotics-related charges.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is reminding residents to remain alert, promptly report suspicious activity, track deliveries, retrieve packages quickly, and work with neighbors to help prevent package theft.
