SAN ANTONIO — A major marijuana seizure in Southtown led to the arrest of Juan Gonzales, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reported.
On September 2, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 900 block of South Alamo Street. During the operation, law enforcement seized nearly 74 pounds of marijuana, valued at approximately $184,750, along with over $8,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Deputies observed Gonzales leaving the home carrying a large trash bag. Upon approach, he dropped the bag, which was found to contain marijuana.
Inside the home, officers discovered multiple boxes of packaged marijuana and $8,450 in cash.
Gonzales was arrested and booked into the Bexar County Jail, facing charges of possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds.
