LAREDO, Texas — A man was arrested in connection with the theft of a tractor-trailer from a QT gas station, the Laredo Police Department reported.
Officers responded at approximately 3:27 p.m. on Nov. 27 to the 1100 block of Port Texas Drive following a report of a stolen 2019 white International tractor with a flatbed trailer. The victim stated that he had parked the vehicle in the QT lot on Mines Road earlier that afternoon and returned hours later to find it missing.
Surveillance footage from the gas station captured the tractor-trailer leaving the parking lot. The combined value of the tractor and trailer was estimated at around $78,000.
Following an investigation, officers obtained and executed a warrant on Dec. 26 for 28-year-old Juan Angel Espino Jr. Jail records show he was charged with theft of property between $30,000 and $150,000 and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Espino was released on Dec. 30 on personal recognizance bonds totaling $35,000.
