Juan Angel Lara, MS-13 Associate, Arrested in Laredo

Arrested after crossing the Rio Grande with a criminal history

by Sophia Bennett

Laredo South Border Patrol agents recently apprehended Juan Angel Lara, an undocumented migrant with connections to the MS-13 gang. The arrest took place on May 14, when Lara attempted to cross the Rio Grande River into the U.S. illegally.

Lara, who is also associated with the foreign terrorist group Tango Blast, has a troubling criminal history, including assault charges resulting in bodily harm and theft involving over $100,000.

Following his arrest, Lara was handed over to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office due to an outstanding warrant. Once the legal procedures are completed, the Border Patrol will pursue charges against him for felony re-entry into the U.S., having previously been removed from the country.
