A couple has been arrested following an alleged follow-home robbery that took place in south Sacramento earlier this year. The incident occurred on February 19 when the victim, who had just returned home from work, was followed by suspects as he parked in his driveway.
Surveillance footage from the victim’s home shows one of the suspects walking up to him, pointing a gun, and demanding his wallet. After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene and is believed to have run to a getaway vehicle parked nearby.
Following the robbery, the victim’s stolen credit cards were used at both a nearby gas station and a liquor store.
Investigators quickly identified the suspects as 23-year-old Josiah Branner and 21-year-old Sabrina Jones. Branner was arrested last week in south Sacramento County, while Jones turned herself in on Wednesday.
Branner is being held on a $100,000 bail, while Jones has posted bond for her $50,000 bail.
