Millbrook, AL (February 5, 2025) — Joshua O. Williams, 37, of Millbrook, was arrested after turning himself in to local police on February 5, 2025. Williams faces a total of 14 counts of Theft of Property in the 4th Degree following multiple alleged thefts at a local Walmart.
Walmart’s loss prevention team reported that Williams entered the store on several occasions between December 2024 and January 2025. On each visit, he allegedly scanned some items while deliberately failing to scan others, leaving the store without paying for them.
After gathering sufficient evidence, Walmart loss prevention identified Williams and obtained multiple warrants for his arrest.
Despite avoiding immediate apprehension, Williams eventually surrendered to authorities. He was processed and released upon meeting bond requirements.
Law enforcement officials highlighted the importance of technology and loss prevention efforts in identifying and apprehending offenders like Williams. They also emphasized that thefts negatively affect businesses, increasing their operational costs and impacting consumers.
