Joshua Longland, 33, and Benjamin Hollis, 41, have been jailed for two years and three months each after admitting to large-scale drug dealing. The pair were convicted at Peterborough Crown Court for their involvement in the supply of Class A and B substances, including cocaine, cannabis, and ecstasy.
Cambridgeshire Police uncovered evidence of their extensive drug operations during searches of their homes. Longland, from College Court, Sawtry, was found to have approximately £130,000 in his bank account that he could not explain.
The investigation began in 2021 when officers received intelligence about Longland’s involvement in drug dealing. A search of his property revealed around £5,000 in cash, along with a smartphone containing text messages and debt sheets related to his drug activities.
Further investigation revealed that Hollis, who lived in Louthe Way, Sawtry, was working with Longland. Officers found a block of cocaine, deal bags, and a mobile phone with messages confirming his role in the drug supply operation.
The two men were arrested and later pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of illegal drugs. They were sentenced on 22 July 2024 and are now behind bars.
PC Tom Russell of Cambridgeshire Police stated, “Drugs ruin the lives of so many people, so it is only right Hollis and Longland have been brought to justice and are now behind bars.”
