Joshua Lewis Jr. Arrested in Birmingham Shooting Incident

19-year-old charged with attempted murder, firearm offense

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Birmingham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Team has arrested 19-year-old Joshua Lewis Jr. in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Lewis was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle.

He is currently being held at Jefferson County Jail, with bond set at $75,000.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the shooting, but investigations are ongoing.
