Two Spokane residents were arrested in Post Falls on Friday after a traffic stop led to the discovery of forged checks, stolen mail, and drugs, according to the Post Falls Police Department.
On January 31, officers responded to a report of a truck blocking a lane of travel on Seltice Way at Herborn Place. A caller had reported that the driver and passenger were asleep at a red light. After being awakened by a citizen, the driver and passenger drove off, prompting police to locate and stop the vehicle shortly afterward.
During the traffic stop, a K9 unit discovered methamphetamine, forged checks, and stolen mail. The driver, later identified as Joshua Krueger, initially provided a false name but was eventually confirmed by police. Krueger, along with Christina Morlan, the passenger, were arrested and face multiple charges.
Krueger is charged with:

Possession of a fraudulent check
Criminal conspiracy
Possession of stolen property
Morlan is charged with:

Possession of drug paraphernalia
Detectives have since identified more than 50 victims of check fraud and mail theft across the region. The investigation is ongoing.
