by Sophia Bennett

Joshua Julian Ynsuela-Rodgers, 24, of Azalea Road in Sherrills Ford, was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on a felony warrant. He is currently a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office issued the warrant, accusing Ynsuela-Rodgers of motor vehicle theft with intent to commit larceny.

The charges stem from an incident in September 2022, when Ynsuela-Rodgers allegedly broke into a 2005 Jeep Liberty in Suwanee, Georgia. During the break-in, he reportedly stole cash and a pay stub from the vehicle.

Ynsuela-Rodgers was apprehended on Friday, June 27, but is not currently listed as an inmate in Catawba County. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance in District Court in Newton on June 30.
