FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. — A Floyd County grand jury has indicted Joshua Gayheart in connection with the death of a woman who was found unresponsive in November.
Gayheart faces charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to court records.
Kentucky State Police responded to a report in the Beaver community, where they discovered Sarah Slone suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The indictment alleges that Gayheart intentionally shot and killed Slone.
Further details surrounding the case have not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
