A 24-year-old Mexico, Missouri man, Joshua Frye, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges connected to a fatal drunk-driving crash in July that left two people dead.

According to Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney Jacob Shellabarger, Frye admitted guilt to Driving While Intoxicated resulting in the Death of Two Persons, Driving While Intoxicated resulting in Serious Physical Injury, and Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in an Accident.

On Monday, the judge sentenced Frye to 15 years in prison for the DWI charge involving two deaths and seven years for causing serious injury. He also received one year for the misdemeanor driving charge.

If Frye successfully completes a 120-day treatment program in the Missouri Department of Corrections, he could be eligible for probation for 60 months.

The crash occurred on July 12 in the 4800 block of South Clark Street in Mexico, near Highway 54. The collision claimed the lives of Kristain Pritchett, 22, and Austin Terry, 27. Frye and another driver were taken to University Hospital for treatment following the crash.
