Joshua Brocato, a 34-year-old man from Louisiana, was arrested in Marina del Rey, California, on Friday in connection with the brutal double murder of his elderly parents. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office had issued a warrant for Brocato’s arrest after the bodies of his parents, Priscilla and Marc Brocato, were discovered at their home in Amite, Louisiana.
Authorities believe Joshua Brocato fatally shot his 66-year-old mother inside their home and his 75-year-old father on the property. The Louisiana sheriff’s office initiated a welfare check at the couple’s home, which led to the grim discovery. Following the findings, they issued an arrest warrant for two counts of first-degree murder.
A day later, Brocato was apprehended in Los Angeles by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He is now facing charges related to the deaths of his parents and will be extradited back to Louisiana for further proceedings.
