CARROLLTON, GA – A man allegedly involved in a mooning incident at a local smoke shop ended up facing a felony drug charge after police say they found him with methamphetamine.

On April 19, Carrollton Police were searching for a suspect who had reportedly exposed his buttocks to a group of people outside a smoke shop on South Park Street. While canvassing the area, officers stopped to question Joseph Lee Sconyers, 49, who matched the suspect’s description.

According to authorities, Sconyers repeatedly ignored commands to stop reaching into his bag during the interaction. Officers then searched the bag and allegedly discovered methamphetamine, leading to his arrest.

Sconyers now faces felony drug possession charges in addition to being questioned in connection with the initial public indecency report.
