by Sophia Bennett

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Joseluis Quezada has been arrested in connection with a November incident at Eclipse Aviation, where he and another suspect allegedly stole copper and caused significant property damage.

Police said the suspects broke into a fenced area at 2800 Karsten Center SE, using tools to dismantle an HVAC unit and remove its copper. The other suspect remains at large.

Quezada was identified through a facial recognition database that matched him with a previous mug shot.

Authorities estimate the stolen copper and fence damage at $50,000. Replacing the HVAC unit would cost $120,000, while repairing the fence would add another $20,000.
