BOISE, Idaho — Authorities have arrested a suspect following a shooting that left an adult victim critically injured at a residence in Donnelly, Idaho, according to law enforcement officials.

The shooting occurred on Dec. 9, 2025, at a home on Halferty Street. Deputies arriving at the scene found an adult victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. Investigators said the suspect and the victim were known to each other.

Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Jose Mendoza. Authorities allege Mendoza also pointed a firearm at a juvenile who was inside the home before fleeing the scene.
