Jose Maldonado Arrested After Being Found Passed Out in Car

Wallingford police found drugs, paraphernalia in vehicle

WALLINGFORD, CT – A man was arrested last week after police found him unconscious inside a parked car with drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to Wallingford police.

Officers responded around 6:19 p.m. on August 22 to the Tractor Supply location on North Colony Road, where they discovered 48-year-old Jose Maldonado passed out inside a Chevrolet Corvette.

Authorities knocked on the window to wake him and noticed suspected contraband visible within the vehicle. A K9 unit was brought in to assist, leading to a search that uncovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Maldonado was arrested and charged with:

Two counts of possession of a controlled substance

Possession of drug paraphernalia

He was later released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 5.

Police have not disclosed the specific substances found, but they confirmed the incident remains under investigation.
