HAMILTON, Ohio — A Mexican national, 38-year-old Jose Juarez Vilches, has been arrested in connection with a disturbing incident involving a 13-year-old girl in Middletown, Ohio, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Vilches was taken into custody on June 24, accused of voyeurism and trespassing after allegedly peering through the girl’s bedroom window on June 11. Authorities say he made sexual gestures during the act and had previous online contact with the girl, where he allegedly requested sexually explicit videos.
Following the discovery that Vilches was in the U.S. illegally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was notified. When officers attempted to arrest him at his Hamilton residence, Vilches fled but was captured after a brief chase. He now faces additional charges, including resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
During the arrest, four other undocumented immigrants were found living at the residence:
Ismael De Jesus Sosa Vargas, 24, Mexico
Besar Maradiaga Rodriguez, 30, Honduras
Aaron Andrade-Olivera, 45, Mexico
Jesus Del Carmen Vega-Saldivar, 50, Mexico
All four were detained by ICE and remain in custody pending further federal action.
Sheriff Richard Jones, a vocal supporter of strict immigration enforcement, has recently strengthened ties between his department and ICE, transforming the Butler County Jail into a regional detention center for immigration-related offenses.
