The Jorhat Police have successfully arrested a gang responsible for thefts at two flats in Jorhat earlier this month.
Arrests and Investigation
Following a thorough investigation, police traced the suspects to Dolgaon. In addition to the gang members, two individuals connected to establishments where the stolen jewellery was sold were also taken into custody.

Nur Ahmed Ali
Buyers of stolen jewellery:
Abu Bakar Siddiqui – Dolgaon, Darrang district
Imran Ahmed – Chapra, Barpeta district
Police recovered several mobile phones from the suspects, which are being examined as part of the investigation.
Details of the Thefts
The thefts occurred on February 5 and 7 at Madhukunj Apartment and ABG Heights. CCTV footage helped police track down and apprehend the gang. Interrogation of all accused is ongoing.
