LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – The Laredo Police Department arrested a man following a domestic violence call at an apartment on the 7600 block of King Arthur’s Court.

Officers responded around 10:23 p.m. on October 20 after receiving an anonymous tip about a possible domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, a male resident, later identified as 31-year-old Jorge Rodriguez-Gonzalez, refused entry and denied anyone else was inside.

Police soon heard crying from a restroom tub, where they discovered a woman with visible facial injuries. Rodriguez-Gonzalez claimed the victim had “tripped.” He was subsequently arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence (C/A).

Authorities emphasized the importance of reporting domestic violence. Anonymous tips can play a crucial role in protecting victims and preventing further harm.
