DAVENPORT — Jordan Sprott, 25, was arrested and is currently held in Scott County Jail on a $55,000 bond after police charged him with multiple burglaries and attempted break-ins across Davenport in the early morning hours of July 17.
According to criminal complaints, Sprott is accused of entering or attempting to enter several occupied homes, often fleeing when confronted by residents.
At approximately 1:36 a.m., officers responded to a burglary report on the 2600 block of Fairhaven Road, where Sprott allegedly entered an occupied home intending to steal but fled on foot after being confronted.
Shortly after, at 3:07 a.m., Sprott was positively identified on security doorbell footage entering a home on the 900 block of Mississippi Avenue.
At 3:18 a.m., Sprott attempted to enter two more homes on Mississippi Avenue, both occupied at the time. He was unable to gain entry and was again captured on security cameras.
Around 5:29 a.m., Sprott broke into a garage window on Fairhaven Road, gaining access to an occupied home where he stole a wallet containing ID, credit cards, and cash. Police later found discarded items linked to the victim near a dumpster on LeClaire Street.
By 6 a.m., he attempted another burglary on Fairhaven Road at a home occupied by two small children but was unsuccessful.
Additional burglaries on College Avenue and River Drive, some occurring in occupied residences, were reported the same night, with video footage linking the suspect’s size and clothing to Sprott.
Police charged Sprott with six felony counts of second-degree burglary, two misdemeanor counts of attempted burglary, three counts of third-degree burglary, and one count of fifth-degree criminal mischief.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 25.
