BATH, N.Y. (WETM) — A 40-year-old man from Bath, New York, has been arrested once again, making it his seventh arrest in the past three months, according to the Bath Police Department.
Jordan M. Smith was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 18, after police observed his vehicle committing multiple traffic violations around 9:07 a.m. Following a stop and investigation, Smith was charged with:
Driving while ability impaired by drugs (misdemeanor)
Aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree (misdemeanor)
Windshield visibility violation (traffic infraction)
Authorities confirmed that Smith was processed at the Steuben County Jail and later released to appear in Bath Village Court, as the offenses did not qualify for bail under current law.
According to Bath Police, Smith’s latest arrest adds to a growing record: five prior arrests for drug-related offenses and two for driving under the influence of drugs, all within the past three months. He has also received seven citations for operating a vehicle with a revoked license.
Officials noted that this count only reflects arrests made by the Bath Police Department and does not include actions by other law enforcement agencies.
