TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Two men convicted in a February 2024 fatal shooting in Tallahassee will spend the rest of their lives in prison.
Jordan Presley and Kadeem Phillips were found guilty of first-degree murder following a three-day trial, according to the Second Judicial Circuit of Florida State Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors said Presley and Phillips were part of a group of four men who lured the victim from his Parkbrook Court home by falsely claiming they had struck his vehicle. When the victim came outside, the group attempted to rob him before shooting him nine times, authorities said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other suspects charged in connection with the case, Jvashni Desanges and Walter Hodge, have not yet been sentenced. Court records indicate that Desanges testified against Presley and Phillips during the trial.
The life sentences were handed down after the jury returned guilty verdicts on the first-degree murder charges.
