NORRISTOWN, Pa. – A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Jordan Antrim, 32, was taken into custody for the May 17 murder and robbery of 47-year-old Paul David Ley-Harris, also of Lower Providence.

Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 5 p.m. near Ridge Pike and Crosskeys Road. A witness told officers he saw a man shot four times and observed the shooter rifling through the victim’s pockets after he collapsed.

Officers arrived and attempted CPR on Ley-Harris, who was later pronounced dead at Einstein Hospital. Authorities say Antrim fled the scene on foot but was apprehended a few blocks away without incident. A Glock handgun, registered to Antrim but carried without a permit, was found in his waistband.

Investigators learned both men had been on a SEPTA bus together just before the shooting. Surveillance footage showed them seated across from one another. Ley-Harris was seen going through his wallet, which was missing when officers found his body.

An autopsy confirmed that Ley-Harris died from multiple gunshot wounds, and the case has been ruled a homicide.

Antrim faces multiple charges, including First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Murder, Third-Degree Murder, Robbery, and weapons offenses. He is currently being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 29.
