MILTON, Fla. (WKRG) – A Milton man, Jonathan Wayne Burchett, 55, was arrested on May 15 after being charged with 24 counts of possession of child pornography following a two-day investigation by the Milton Police Department.
According to a news release from the department, police received a tip on May 12 regarding illicit material found on Burchett’s electronic device. A search warrant was obtained, and investigators discovered 24 images containing suspected child sexual abuse content.
Burchett was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held without bond at the Santa Rosa County Detention Facility until his first court appearance.
In addition to the child pornography possession charges, Burchett also faces charges for the possession, control, or viewing of depictions involving sexual conduct with a child.
