HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A routine traffic stop for a simple headlight violation escalated into a drug trafficking arrest in Hernando County.
Deputies with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) pulled over a gray Chevrolet pickup truck on Monday after noticing a burnt-out headlight. The driver was identified as Jonathan Skinner, and his passenger as Jessica Eggleton.
Upon further inspection, deputies discovered illegal narcotics in the vehicle. A full search revealed:
27 grams of methamphetamine
0.6 grams of cocaine
Multiple items of drug paraphernalia
Photos released by HCSO show the recovered drugs and items.
