MANCHESTER, N.H. — Manchester police have arrested 39-year-old Jonathan Santiago Torres in connection with both a May shooting and an August car fire that destroyed multiple vehicles on the city’s West Side.

According to authorities, one vehicle was intentionally set ablaze in an alley on Cartier Street, with flames quickly spreading to two nearby cars and causing damage to a nearby building. Investigators confirmed that the incident was an act of arson.

Police say Torres has also been linked to a shooting at a Spruce Street residence in May. While details remain limited, detectives say they developed probable cause during the investigation to connect him to the crime.

The victim in the shooting sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Torres is now facing multiple charges, including:

First-degree assault with a firearm

Felon in possession of a deadly weapon

Arson

He is currently being held pending a court hearing, police said.
