VICTORIA, Texas — A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder following a deadly shooting in Victoria on Sunday evening.
Jonathan Joe Partida was booked into the Victoria County Jail at 9:43 p.m. on August 24, 2025, in connection to the shooting death of Gabriel Gonzales, 19. Authorities confirmed that Partida is currently being held without bond.
According to the Victoria Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1300 block of Sycamore Street around 5:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Gonzales suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but Gonzales, a Victoria resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
