THIBODAUX, La. — Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced that two suspects have been charged in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries in the Thibodaux area. Jonathan Daggs Jr., 17, of Thibodaux, and a 16-year-old male each face multiple charges related to the burglaries.
The investigation began in March 2025, following a string of burglaries in neighborhoods near LA Highway 3185. Patrol deputies conducted thorough investigations, including reviewing video surveillance that showed individuals breaking into vehicles. As the investigation progressed, detectives developed suspects and executed search warrants, leading to the discovery of further evidence.
Both Daggs and the 16-year-old were identified as suspects. The juvenile faces seven counts of simple burglary of a motor vehicle and was released into the custody of his guardian.
Daggs, during questioning, admitted to his involvement and was arrested on Monday, April 14. He is charged with seven counts of simple burglary of a motor vehicle and was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. His bail is set at $70,000.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated.
