VIROQUA, Wis. – A Viroqua man is in custody following a drug-related investigation that led to the discovery of illegal substances, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Jon Fanta, 60, was arrested Friday morning after deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Nelson Road.
Authorities say they found illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the home, along with a firearm.
Fanta now faces multiple charges, including possession of illegal drugs and intent to manufacture and deliver controlled substances.
He is currently being held in custody as he awaits a bail hearing.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.
