Johnny Detalente Arrested with Fentanyl, Meth in Evansville

Man caught fleeing moped crash with over 100g of drugs

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The Evansville Police Department reports the arrest of 38-year-old Johnny Detalente after he was found with over 100 grams of fentanyl and meth following a moped chase.

An officer spotted a man driving a white moped without a license plate on E Oregon Street and North Garvin Street. The suspect fled into an alleyway, crashed the moped, and ran. Detalente was later located in the backyards of homes on the 600 block of E Maryland Street.

Police say Detalente had an active felony warrant and was found with $2,500 in cash, 101.4 grams of fentanyl, 33.7 grams of meth in baggies, and 3.6 grams of marijuana. He was treated at a hospital for a shoulder injury sustained in the crash.

Detalente faces charges including resisting law enforcement, dealing narcotics, manufacturing and dealing meth, and possession of marijuana. He is being held without bond.
