SALEM, Ore. — Johnathan Dale Korrell, 36, has been arrested after being accused of stealing over $100,000 worth of property during a burglary spree in Salem, according to the Salem Police Department.
The arrest took place on Tuesday, following a five-week investigation by the Felony Crimes Unit, targeting a series of burglaries that occurred at businesses in the northeast part of Salem. The first burglary in the series took place on December 2, 2024, with five other incidents following in the weeks that followed.
On January 14, authorities, with the assistance of the Salem Police SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a home located in the 500 block of Locust Street NE. During the search, police recovered multiple pieces of stolen property, valued at approximately $100,000.
Korrell was found inside the residence and was arrested without incident. He now faces a variety of charges, including:
Three counts of first-degree burglary
Three counts of second-degree burglary
One count of attempted second-degree burglary
Three counts of first-degree theft
Two counts of aggravated first-degree theft
One count of first-degree criminal mischief
The investigation is ongoing, and Korrell is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Marion County Circuit Annex.
