A Manhattan man was arrested Thursday morning on multiple outstanding warrants and new drug-related charges.
According to the Riley County Police Department, 54-year-old John Swartz was located in the 3000 block of Conrow Drive on April 24 at approximately 10:34 a.m. During the encounter, Swartz was taken into custody on three failure-to-appear warrants issued by the Riley County District Court.
The original charges related to those warrants include battery, two counts of interference with law enforcement, and a third-offense possession of marijuana.
In addition to the outstanding warrants, Swartz was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest, leading to additional charges.
Swartz is currently being held at the Riley County Jail with a total bond set at $77,000.
