The investigation began when the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania contacted the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on May 7, 2025, regarding a potentially stolen fuel card from Moore Trucking being used in Chemung County, New York.

Further inquiry revealed that Bowman had been using the company’s fuel card to make personal fuel purchases across multiple locations in Chemung County from July 2020 through May 2025. The total amount of fraudulent transactions is estimated at $15,778.
