Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Three in Connection with Multiple Car Burglaries
TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) — On Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) arrested Joe Fernandez on a felony warrant related to a series of car burglaries and thefts across Taylor County.
Fernandez is a known suspect in multiple incidents involving stolen firearms, vehicles, and money, including reports from local universities. During his arrest, two additional suspects, Jacob Rose and Ariah Torres, were also taken into custody.
All three suspects were found in possession of several stolen firearms and illegal narcotics, including psilocybin and THC. The ongoing investigation has already resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle in Callahan County.
Fernandez faces three counts of theft of firearms and possession charges for controlled substances. He remains in Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $131,000. Rose and Torres are held on bonds of $80,000 and $100,000 respectively.
The TCSO thanked the Abilene Police Department, Callahan County Sheriff’s Office, and Abilene Christian University Police Department for their assistance. Additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
