Jodhpur SI Exam Scam Trainee Sub-Inspector & Gang Arrested for Cheating

Private School Involved in Fraud; 6 Arrested, Including Trainee SI

A private school in Jodhpur has come under scrutiny following a massive SI exam cheating scandal in which Vijendra Kumar, a 41-year-old trainee sub-inspector (SI), allegedly paid Rs 8 lakh to secure a solved question paper during the 2021 SI recruitment examination. Kumar, who secured the 92nd rank in the exam, was arrested along with five other trainees from the Rajasthan Police Academy.

According to the investigation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police, Kumar worked with a gang of fraudsters to get the solved paper into the exam hall. The gang, led by Ritu Sharma, a close friend of Kumar’s wife, allegedly facilitated the delivery of the answers. The investigation further revealed that Somesh Godara, already jailed for another cheating case, played a key role in accessing and delivering the answers.

The fraud network used the private school as an exam center, with SOG suggesting that many other candidates might have been involved. The arrested suspects include Ritu Sharma, Anil Sankhla, Arjun Ram Prajapat, and Somesh Godara, all linked to the cheating operation. The SOG is continuing its investigation, with more arrests possible as they probe further connections to other exam frauds.
