The Cycloner team of the Jodhpur Range police successfully apprehended two absconding accused with a combined reward of Rs 65,000, arresting them in Jaipur.

Vishnu, also known as “Thekedar,” was wanted with a Rs 40,000 reward for a murder case, while Bherulal Dewasi carried a Rs 25,000 bounty related to drug trafficking charges.

According to IG Vikas Kumar, Vishnu was caught at a clothes showroom in Jaipur, where he was working as a salesman. Police officers posed as customers to make the arrest. Bherulal was apprehended at Phulera Junction in Jaipur while returning from a visit to Khatushyam Baba.

Vishnu, along with accomplices, mistakenly killed Shyam Paliwal in 2023 in village Chirai, Jodhpur, believing him to be someone else. He had been living in Jaipur under a false identity for two years, successfully evading law enforcement.

Bherulal, initially a daily wage worker at a cement factory in Nimbahera, later entered drug trafficking after coming into contact with a smuggler named Hanuman Ram. A significant drug consignment linked to Bherulal was seized in Barmer, after which he was declared wanted.

Both accused are now in police custody as investigations continue.
