In a major real estate fraud, Kotwali Police in Sikar arrested four individuals, including two women, for allegedly duping a contractor of Rs90 lakh through a forged land sale. The accused used fake documents and impersonated a landowner to carry out the scam.
According to the police, the land in question spans 8.50 bighas and is owned by a woman who currently resides in Delhi. The accused falsely claimed that she wished to sell the land and introduced a fake owner to deceive the contractor.
Using forged documents, they executed the fraudulent deal and received Rs90 lakh from the victim. The arrested individuals have been identified as Jitendra Rana (32) of Jaipur, Vimla Gupta (55) of Delhi, Kavita Singh (45), and Balbir Sansi (51), both from Sikar.
Investigations revealed that the two women used their share of the money to repay loans and buy a scooter. Meanwhile, one of the accused used the funds to finance an extravagant wedding at a resort in Jaipur, purchasing gold jewellery and even bringing a bride from Bihar.
Police are continuing the investigation to identify any additional accomplices and recover the defrauded funds.
