A man accused of cheating aspirants of the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JGGLCCE), 2023 has been arrested in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The accused, Vinay Shah, was reportedly part of a network that took money from candidates promising access to question papers before the examination.
Inspector General (South Chhotanagpur) and CID in-charge Manoj Kaushik stated that the Jharkhand police had sent a warrant to UP authorities for his arrest. Shah is expected to be brought to Jharkhand on transit remand.
So far, the Jharkhand Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has found no evidence suggesting a leak of the original question papers.
